PeopleLooker Opt-Out
What is PeopleLooker?
PeopleLooker describes itself as a privacy-friendly public record search engine, but at its core, it operates like most people search websites. Users can enter basic identifying details such as a name, phone number, or address and receive an aggregated report about a person. These reports are built by pulling publicly available information from existing databases, not by collecting anything new.
The data behind PeopleLooker profiles often comes from public records, government agencies, social media platforms, web beacons, and other online sources. All of this information is stitched together and processed by automated systems designed to guess which details belong to the same individual. Sometimes the match is accurate. Other times, it misses the mark in frustrating ways.
Because the information comes from so many different sources, inaccuracies are common. You may see outdated contact details, incorrect addresses, or people listed as relatives who are not actually connected to you. In more serious cases, reports can include criminal records or property liens that belong to someone else entirely. If this happens, you generally have two options. You can create an account and request corrections, or you can opt out of PeopleLooker public searches altogether by following the guide below.
Stipulations for Your PeopleLooker Opt-Out
People search websites generally fall into two categories. Some are large data brokers with extensive access to public and commercial databases, while others are smaller operations with fewer direct data sources. These smaller sites often function as search-style portals, relying on redirection systems tied to sponsors and affiliate networks rather than maintaining massive databases themselves.
PeopleLooker fits into this second category. It operates as a people search engine but also acts as a redirection point, both for its own reports and for larger data broker platforms. In practice, this means PeopleLooker is closely linked to bigger companies that handle much of the underlying data management and privacy compliance behind the scenes.
As a result, PeopleLooker's privacy compliance is overseen by its parent company, BeenVerified. The good news is that there are no special personal requirements to request an opt-out from PeopleLooker. Just as importantly, you do not need to submit a separate opt-out request directly with BeenVerified to remove your information from PeopleLooker searches.
Formalities to Remove Information from PeopleLooker
PeopleLooker's privacy policy clearly explains how consumers can request an opt-out, which is not something every people search website does particularly well. According to that policy, there are four main ways to submit a removal request. You can contact a live customer support representative by phone, which is useful if you need help removing multiple records at once. You can also submit a request by email or by traditional mail, although those options tend to move more slowly.
For most people, the simplest and most effective approach is to use the online opt-out request forms. These forms are managed through BeenVerified, which oversees privacy compliance for PeopleLooker. There are separate forms for people search records and property search records, along with a broader manual option that allows users to request removal across multiple record types at the same time.
Our BeenVerified opt-out tutorial focuses on removing both people and property search results using the standard forms. The guide below, however, walks through the manual Omni form, which is designed for users who want a more comprehensive opt-out request handled in a single submission.
Step-by-Step Tutorials to Opt-Out of PeopleLooker
Live Customer Support Reps are Available Daily
Although BeenVerified oversees the privacy and opt-out framework for PeopleLooker, the two platforms do not share the same customer support team. PeopleLooker maintains its own support line, which is listed on its Contact Us page. Consumers can call 1 (800) 592 7153 to request assistance with record removal or to opt out of multiple listings at once. Reaching a live agent requires navigating a short automated menu first.
Live customer support representatives are available seven days a week, from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm Eastern Time. Calls placed outside these hours will play a recorded message instead of connecting to an agent. When you call during operating hours, the automated system will ask whether the phone number it reads aloud is correct. This should match the number you used to place the call. Press 1 to confirm.
After confirming your phone number, the system will ask you to select the option that best matches your local time zone. Once that step is complete, the assistant will offer choices to cancel or to wait for a live representative. If your goal is to opt out or remove records, it is usually best to stay on the line and speak directly with a customer service agent
Email the PeopleLooker or BeenVerified Privacy Team
If you would rather not share additional contact information through online forms or phone calls, emailing a removal request is a solid alternative. Both PeopleLooker and BeenVerified accept opt out and privacy-related requests by email, and this approach gives you more control over what details you disclose. It also creates a written record of your request, which can be helpful if you need to follow up later.
Several email addresses route to the same privacy and support teams, though they are not always processed the same way. Messages sent to general support addresses may take longer to resolve than those sent directly to a privacy or compliance inbox. For California residents, emailing the CCPA-designated address is often the fastest option, since those requests are typically prioritized due to legal requirements.
Below is a sample email template you can use as a starting point. You can copy and paste it into your email client and replace the highlighted sections with your own information. Including clear identifying details, such as your full name and past locations, increases the chances your request passes identity verification and is completed without delays.
Write a Letter to the PeopleLooker Offices
Some consumers prefer a physical paper trail when requesting removal from people search websites. In that case, you can mail a written privacy request directly to PeopleLooker at their Atlanta mailing address. When drafting your letter, it helps to follow the same structure and authorization language used in the email template above, since it already includes the details typically required for an opt-out request.
In certain situations, PeopleLooker may respond by asking for additional identification to verify your identity. This can include a request for a copy of a photo ID, which is legally permitted as part of the verification process. If you choose to provide one, make sure to redact or censor any unnecessary information. Usually, only your full name and current or past address need to remain visible.
All written data privacy and opt-out requests can be mailed to the following address:

Opt-Out with BeenVerified's Omni-Suppression Form
As mentioned earlier, BeenVerified offers multiple opt-out forms. This section explains how to use the Omni Suppression Form. Unlike search-specific opt-out forms, the omni form requires more detailed information. The purpose is not just to remove a single listing but to suppress similar data from appearing in future public searches.
Information submitted through the Omni form applies to both BeenVerified's people and property searches simultaneously. To begin the process, open the BeenVerified Privacy Request Form in a new browser tab.
Step One
When the form loads, confirm that the Request Type is set to "Do Not Sell My Information". Do not select a deletion request. Deleting a single record does not prevent similar profiles from being generated later. A "do not sell" request suppresses matching data instead. This suppression status remains active for twelve months.
Enter your first and last name in the required fields. Provide an accessible email address, preferably one you do not use publicly. Submit your age and residential property information to complete this section. When finished, click the green Continue button.
Step Two
On the results page, locate the record that most closely resembles the information you submitted. Not all details need to match exactly. Minor inaccuracies do not affect the opt out process.
Once you find the closest match, click the green Proceed to Opt Out button on the right side of the listing.
The next page will display a message that reads, "Please enter any additional information you would like to opt out".
This page allows you to submit information for suppression even if it does not already appear in the selected record.
Step Three
Expand each section by clicking the drop down bars and begin entering the information you want suppressed. Start with your phone number, street address, city, state, and ZIP code. The goal here is to block future records that might be generated using the same data.
Step Four
Scroll down and expand the sections for email addresses and social media accounts. Fill out any applicable fields. When finished, select the "This is me" checkbox and complete the CAPTCHA verification. Click the green Remove My Info button located in the bottom right corner of the page. This action triggers an automatic verification email.
Step Five
Check the inbox of the email address you submitted. Open the message from support@email.beenverified.com and scroll to the bottom. Click the green Verify Opt Out button to complete the request.
After verification, a confirmation page will open showing all data covered by the suppression request. Once the suppression is active, additional information cannot be added until the twelve-month period expires.
Confirm the Request and Return Later
After receiving confirmation, return later to verify the results. You can do this by running a search on BeenVerified or PeopleLooker using the original record details. A successful opt-out will return no results.
It is recommended to check back annually and repeat the process if new records appear. In some cases, clearing your browser cache may help reflect the updated suppression status more accurately. This guide reflects the current opt-out procedures outlined in PeopleLooker's privacy policy as of 2025.
